Everyone is enjoying the sunshine at the moment but one homeowner in Blackrod has extra reason to celebrate as they are making big savings on their energy bills as well as helping to protect the environment. The homeowner is achieving this thanks to electricity-generating solar panels, which were installed with the help of Mitchell's Scaffolding North West.
The traditional method of using electricity generated by burning fossil fuels is extremely damaging to the environment, creating an unsustainable carbon footprint. This has resulted in domestic solar panel installations becoming more common as more and more people seek to reduce their environmental impact by using renewable energy.
The job of installing the domestic solar panels was contracted to family-run company EEC Home Improvements, which has been established for more than three decades. To protect and build on their exceptional reputation, EEC Home Improvements only choose to work with trusted partners like Mitchell's Scaffolding Accrington.
Before designing and implementing any scaffolding or other access structure, our expert team first carry out an extensive site survey, which allows us to identify and assess all of the complex variables and factors we will be working with. Extra caution was needed to take the current weather conditions into account and we also had to design a structure that would allow the homeowner, who would remain living at the property during the installation, unrestricted access.
The solar panels are large and heavy yet also contain delicate and fragile components that required protection during handling. In order to lift the weighty panels safely up to the roof level, our designers incorporated a sturdy gin wheel into the bespoke scaffolding structure.
To minimise disturbance to both the homeowner and neighbouring properties, we scheduled a dismantling date at the same time as the booking of the installation. Just seven days after the scaffolding structure was built, it was quickly dismantled and removed by our team.
