Stuart Mitchell started working in the scaffolding industry aged 14, working for various scaffolding companies throughout the region until the time came to fulfil his own ambitions and work for himself. After starting as a one man band ‘Mitchell’s Scaffolding Ltd' his reputation for quality work soon grew and the expansion began.
Having won the University of Central Lancashire’s Young Business person of the year in 2011 a toughly fought competition with applicants from across the Northwest, receiving this award was fantastic all the effort and hard work over the past 10 years had paid off.
Stuart successfully oversees the management of all the Scaffolders and office personnel. Ensures all the Health and safety policies and procedures for the company are up-to-date as well as working along side his men, clear concise operational direction ensures the needs, quality, expectations and service rates are always met.
Stuart has an excellent working relationship with his management team. Using his great motivational skills, Stuart gets the best out of everyone ensuring the needs of each client and their project are met. Bespoke scaffolding that meets all the site needs erected following the safest working practices by trained and qualified scaffolders on every contract.
Training is the backbone of Mitchell’s success; skill levels for all operatives are continuously developed and improved with regular training. As the company has grown so have the responsibility’s, Stuart is time and again to be found attending pre start meetings advising on projects.
With a HND in construction completed in 2013 Stuart has yet another invaluable set of knowledge to offer his clients and this is more and more frequently utilized furthering the development of the scaffold business.
Stuart also took home the highest accolade any scaffold company could The North West Regional Health and Safety award beating off the competition in this highly desired category.
