HSBC Accrington
Scaffold to the HSBC Bank
Blackburn Road Branch
Accrington
The project is on a busy thoroughfare close to the town centre with public access required at all times.
To maintain the safety aspect the scaffolding wagons were parked within the working barriers and access to the foot path diverted for the duration of the scaffold erection, with clear walkways below any platforms for pedestrians once the structure was completed
The scaffold has been put in place to allow safe access for roof repairs and decoration.
The rear elevation of the property has its own needs with very narrow access.
The scaffold structure not only encroached on the public footpath it also created a partial narrowing of the alley way behind the building.
Scaffolding permits were organised with the local authority with an expected 3 week duration and an option to extend the should the works being undertaken have any hidden surprises.
As the project progressed, further scaffolding requirement have been noted, this additional scaffolding provision will be made in the as and when the various aspects of the work near completion, reducing any interference and inconvenience the additional scaffold could cause to the contractors.
